Training Guidelines and Online Resources
Required Adult Leader Training
In order to complete the minimum leader training, there are four courses and now they all can be taken online:
1. Cub Scout Leader Fast Start
2. Youth Protection Training
3. This is Scouting
4. Cub Scout Leader Specific Training
All of the above courses can be accessed from here: http://olc.scouting.org
You'll have to create an account. Make sure to print out your completion certificate so you can have proof to show the council office. There is a way to link your account transcripts with the council office by entering in your membership ID #. You can call the Peoria council office for that ID #. If your account is linked in with the office, there is no need to supply them with your certificate because they will automatically have an electronic record.
*In order to be considered trained, all leaders need to have completed these courses within the past two years.
Other Important Info:
There is a district round table meeting the 2nd Thursday of every month from 6:30 - 7:30 PM at Morton Christian Church (1001 S. 4th Ave). Every leader is welcome to attend. The primary objective is to share meeting ideas and learn about upcoming district and council events/programs.
Fast Tracks (aka: den meetings make easy):
Tigers (1st Grade)
Wolves (2nd Grade)
Bears (3rd Grade)
Webelos I (4th Grade)
Webelos II (5th Grade)
FAST TRACKS is a series of den meeting plans designed to be used in conjunction with the youth handbooks. By following the prescribed den meeting plans, the boys will fulfill the requirements necessary to earn the badge of rank by early spring.
Suggestion: Use the Sept and Oct den meetings to do outdoor activities that will also meet the achievements in their books. It is very difficult trying to squeeze in outdoor activities in January.
